Ingredients
6 Apples (peeled and chopped)
1 cup Light brown sugar
½ cup Cold butter, cubed into small pieces
¾ cup Old fashioned oats
¾ cup All-purpose flour
2 tbsp. Granulated sugar
1 ¾ tsp. Ground cinnamon
1 ½ tsp. Lemon juice
Pinch of Kosher salt
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
Butter or spray an 8” baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
Combine the chopped apples, granulated sugar, ¾ teaspoon cinnamon, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Stir everything together, then transfer to the prepared baking dish.
- Mix the topping ingredients in a separate bowl—brown sugar, flour, diced cold butter, oats, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and salt.
- Slice the butter into the oat mixture using a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles pea-sized crumbs.
- Distribute the toppings all over the apples in the baking dish and gently pat it down to even it out. Cook for approximately 45 to 50 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Enjoy while still warm!
