Directions
For the Apple Fritter:
Combine the baking powder, flour, cinnamon, and salt using a medium bowl, then set aside.
- Combine the lemon juice and apples using a separate container. Set it aside.
Using a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, combine eggs and sugar on medium speed until thoroughly mixed.
- Bring the speed to low and put the flour mixture in two to three additions. Mix until well combined.
- Pour in the milk and stir until incorporated.
- Fold in the apples.
Half-fill a frying pan with oil, place it on the stove over medium temperature, and heat until it reaches 375 °F on a candy thermometer.
- Add ¼ cup batter into the oil and fry until golden brown. Flip to cook the opposite side.
- Put a small knife into the center to see the doneness. If there’s still uncooked batter in the center, fry it for a bit longer.
Next, allow it to cool on a cooling rack lined with paper towels.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
For the Glaze:
Start making the glaze by combining the vanilla, sugar, and 3 teaspoons of water.
- Stir in water, 1 teaspoon at a time, until the mixture has a pourable consistency.
- Allow drying after drizzling the glaze over the cooled fritters.
