Enjoy the Halloween festivities without any guilt with these healthy and affordable snacks. Apple wedges make a mouth, while mini marshmallows resemble teeth. A spread of peanut butter keeps the apple wedge and marshmallows together.
Kitchen Science
Ingredients
2 Red apples (or Green)
½ cup Creamy peanut butter
1 pack (100g) of Mini marshmallows
Directions
Cut the apples into wedges (ideally 10 slices) and discard the core.
- Spread peanut butter along one side of each apple wedge.
- For teeth, line 5 mini marshmallows on top of the peanut butter, closer to the skin side. Do this on 10 apple wedges.
- Press the remaining 10 apple wedges (peanut-butter side facing down) onto the top of each marshmallow-filled apple wedge to form a sandwich.
Use a toothpick, marshmallows, and black decorating gel to add eyes.
