These treats are simple to prepare, use few ingredients, and are sure to please everyone at your table. They also include one of our favorite autumn flavors: cinnamon! We hope you enjoy this recipe and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Ingredients
1 cup Butter, softened
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Packed brown sugar
2 large Eggs, room temperature
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
2 cups All-purpose flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Ground cinnamon
½ tsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Salt
3 cups Quick-cooking oats
- ½ cup Raisins (optional)
Directions
Put the sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl for 5 to 7 minutes until it is creamed or light and fluffy. Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt in another mixing bowl. Then, gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
- Stir in the oats and raisins, if desired.
Form the mixture into 1½” balls. Bake on ungreased baking sheets at 350 °F, one at a time.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
For 1 minute, let it cool down, then transfer it to the wire racks.
Recipe Note
Store the cinnamon oatmeal cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. In the container, put a piece of bread with the cookies to help keep them soft and fresh for up to 4 days. You can also store the cookies in a freezer for up to six months.
