2 cups Granulated sugar
4 Large eggs
1 tsp Baking powder

For the Syrup:
Directions
For the Syrup:
Cook the butter, granulated sugar, bourbon, and water in a saucepan. Stir and heat the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved.
For the Cake:
Preheat the oven to 356 °F. Butter the 10-inch Bundt cake pan, and sprinkle with flour.
Using an electric whisk or mixer, whisk the butter and the sugar until pale and fluffy. Deliberately add the eggs one at a time, ensuring they are gently and fully incorporated.
Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
Combine the salt, flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a large bowl.
Alternatingly add the flour mixture and the buttermilk to the butter mixture while beating at low speed until everything is fully mixed.
Pour the mix into the cake pan. Cook for an hour or until a stick returns clean when poked in the cake’s center.
Poke holes in the cake using skewers and liberally glaze the cake with the syrup. Allow the Kentucky cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before inverting and transferring it to the serving plate.
Drizzle the top with the remaining syrup.
