Macaroni Salad Recipe
This crowd-pleasing classic chicken salad recipe is ideal for sandwiches, salads, and snacks. Celery, relish, and fresh herbs give texture and taste, while Dijon mustard and lemon juice provide a tart kick.
You can eat it plain or with nuts or fruits. The ideal way to eat this is with lettuce and tomato on toasted wheat bread and a hearty dose of potato chips.
Bring a big pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni.
- Cook and occasionally stir until the macaroni is cooked (about 8 minutes).
- Drain and rinse with cold running water.
Combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, green onions, and jalapeno peppers in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix in the macaroni.
Refrigerate until cooled, at least 30 minutes before serving.
