Ingredients
28 Marshmallows (and 28 lollipop sticks)
1 bag White chocolate chips
Vanilla or white frosting
Green, Orange, and Red gel or paste food color (or any color you need)
Directions
Insert a lollipop stick into the side of each marshmallow. When making Frankenstein and other monsters, insert the stick into the flat side of the marshmallow instead.
In a double boiler, place the white chocolate and melt. Stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Dip one marshmallow at a time into the melted chocolate. Shake off any excess chocolate by tapping the marshmallow gently on the edge of the container.
- Place the sticks upright in a florist’s foam or a drinking glass and let them stand at room temperature for 30 minutes or until the chocolate sets.
- Add food coloring to the melted chocolate for Frankensteins and Jack O' Lanterns. Mix 3 to 5 teaspoons of canola oil for every ½ cup of melted chocolate to keep it from hardening.
- Use the frosting to decorate the chocolate-dipped marshmallows. Tint it with food coloring as necessary.
